S.S. Rocks!
This Box was made and hid by Mrs. Brisson’s 1st grade 2010 class. The kids had fun planting this box and can’t wait to check it at the end of the year to see who has visited their school and found their box.
To start your search head to South School Elementary in Somerset MA located at 700 Read St. If school is not in then you can park in the parking lot on the left hand side of the school. If you are letterboxing during school hours then please park on Read street to leave all available parking for the South School staff. Head to the flag pole, from here head East 40 1st grader single steps, you should arrive at the side edge of the half circle drive in front of our school. From here you will continue North East into our school play yard until you reach our first Hop Scotch game on the blacktop. Hoping or walking East, take approx. 15 (first grader single steps or hops) until you reach the start of our swing sets. Once here you will need to head NE and follow along going from our older swing set to our newer set (just installed last year and the kids love it), this should be approx. 35 (first grader single steps) where you will reach the end of our newer swing set. From here you can look around at the woods that surround our school. Looking North East you will find a small (about 5-6 ft) clearing in the woods, head into the clearing and stop about 3-5 steps inside. Look to your right, a few steps into the woods you will see two large rocks. You will find our box to the left hand side of the left rock.
After checking out S.S. Rocks!, please make sure that all items have been sealed in their bags and re-hid well. Thank you for participating in our class project!
