Pioneer Village in Minden, NE, is a neat place! Worth going, if you have the time to enjoy it rightly - we were there for four-and-a-half hours and didn't see everything! If nothing else, I recommend going through the circle of historic buildings - an old schoolhouse, church, sod house, firehouse, general store, apothecary, train station, and more. It's a neat opportunity to step back into time and pretend what it might have been like to live at various moments in our country's history.

Level of terrain difficulty: SUPER EASY
Time require after parking: 1 minute
Directions:
Coming south into Minden on Hwy 10, come to the intersection of Hwy 10 and Hwy 34, where you will find the famous "Pioneer Village". Turn left/east on Hwy 34, and go past the Pioneer Village Motel on your left. Take the next left/north on Colorado Ave., and drive past the Campground. Turn left/west on 12th St. and watch for the green buildings on your left. Pull over and park across from the green buildings.
The "4 Pioneers" letterbox is between "Antique Autos" and "Yesteryear's Cars". There are large cedar trees along the buildings. The letterbox is behind the cedars at the base of a chain link fencepost under asphalt scraps. Please re-hide well!
Thanks to friends L., P., and J. for letterboxing with me!
