*UPDATE (4/19/2010):
This letterbox has been reported vandalized and destroyed.
There are no plans to replace it as I live far away from it's location.
Located at Piper's Lagoon Park
Ideal for hopeless romantics and couples.
Easy hiking - approximately 2km / 1.23 miles
Clues:
You will find Piper's Lagoon Park along Hammond Bay Road. From the parking lot, follow the beach trail north to the "island" covered in trees. You will find that the trail splits at the base of this "island". Take the left hand path, over the rocky hill, and you will see the trail continues north. Follow this trail over 2 board walks. At the end of the 2nd boardwalk, pace out 40 steps or so. You will see a stump in the middle of the trail. Continue north about 22 steps and take the right-fork up the rocky knoll. You'll steer eastward (about 15 steps) to the middle of a relatively flat rocky area. Turn to your right (south) and you will see a minor trail leading into the woods. Take about 18 steps south on this trail. You should see a small log to the right just off the trail. The best approach is to walk past the log a few steps, then turn northwest to avoid the brush. You should see a moderate sized rock against the break in the log. Search here for the treasure!
Enjoy!
