The Dam Letterbox is located at a fun historical spot just up the road from the Sunbeam Springs Letterbox (approx. 12 miles east of Stanley). Come check out the old dam, read a little about the history of this part of the west, and take home a new stamp.

Difficulty: easy, but there are some stairs that you have to climb to get down to the river.

Go down the stairs by the public outhouse. When you get to the base of the stairs, continue on the trail for about 100 yards till you get to an old, abandoned outhouse, probably left by miners or dam workers. The letterbox is hidden at the base of the tree behind it on the side facing the bridge.

(later note) I have been told by someone who found the box that it is actually located behind the second tree behind the outhouse. Email me confirmation of this and I will permanently change the clue.

Please cover well with rocks after finding it as the area is somewhat exposed. Then continue on for the Land of the Yankee Fork Series.
