The Clue:

"She planted a seed so we could read; For her, we planted a tree; On the west side of the library, you'll find me!"

Our love for books is ever green and alive!

The Coordinates:

N 043^10.120
W 089^03.349

(this hybrid is also registered with www.geocaching.com)

I placed this hybrid cache as an employee of the Marshall Community Library after our "treasure hunt" day, an introduction to geocaching and letterboxing. Many who found our temporary caches that day have already moved on to "real" geocaching and letterboxing! We at the library are proud to help more people try these great sports.

This letterbox-geocache hybrid is on public (library) property and accessible at all hours.

The cache was placed where it is in honor of Ms. Clarissa Porter, whose generous donations made the building of this library possible. Ms. Porter's family is also honored with another letterbox in the area, Dem Bones.

Update: 8/10/10 The box has been replaced with a bigger, hopefully more secure/leak-proof container. The previous box's contents had been scattered and rained on. Previous stamps and logs have been pasted onto the new logbook where possible.
