Directions: This massive glacial erratic is located within the Nobscot Scout Reservation (operated by the Knox Trail Council), http://www.ktcbsa.org/nobscot.htm. It is easily accessed from a small pull-off in Framingham, south of the main entrance in Sudbury, just across the street from #1247 Edgell Road (room for a few cars). Go under the chain gate (watch out for the poison ivy) and follow the trail. There is a stone wall on the right. At the break in the stone wall, go right. Cross the brook and continue towards the massive boulder, then over a small bridge. There is a sign that explains the history of "The Rock".

You might want bug spray at this time of year.
Stand with your back to "The Rock" sign. Sight 340 deg. and go to that pointed outcrop. (Watch out for the poison ivy. Step gingerly to miss it). Now look along the left of the outcrop and you will find my bird in its hiding place. Please re-hide well. You'd best bring red ink and a pen.
