Six of the Disney Princesses have been visiting Mt. Tom. They love to walk the loop between the two towers where they look out over the beautiful valley. Their loop is marked in pink on the photo above. For a printable map of the Mt. Tom trails click here: http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/trails/print/Mt.Tom.pdf. There is a $2 fee to enter the park with a car on the weekends.

6 Boxes – Logbook in last box only.
Time: Roughly 2 hours.

Make your way to the visitor’s center, drive up to the upper parking lot where you will find Bray Tower. With the tower on your left and the view on your right, head towards the woods. There are 2 paths at the end of the lot, take the narrow path marked in purple. After a bit, notice a boulder on the right, just before the path bends sharply right. From this point turn left, and travel 17 paces across the path and into the woods. You will end at a tree with a hole in it where Cinderella rests.

Continue on purple. When it intersects with a wide path, turn right to head for the road. At the road, turn left. Shortly you will come to a parking area on the right. From here follow signs for Quarry Trail and M+M trail, up the driveway and to the right. At picnic area turn left on Yellow/Quarry. Just a few steps later take a left onto the M+M trail, marked with white blazes. After walking a bit, pass through logs that are cut on either side to make way for the path. At the very next white blaze, turn right. Look for mossy ledge roughly 75 feet off the path. To the left of the ledge is an evergreen with a rock door. Belle is behind the door.

Continue on white to a driveway, turn right and continue to follow white down the driveway and then left back into the woods, and left up a hill. The trail will begins up a hill with lots of ledge, and a tree growing at 45 degrees out of the rock. After this tree, the trail bends sharply left at a 2-sister tree. Look on the right for a hollow log. Snow White is in the end of this log farthest from the trail.

Continue on white. It gets slightly strenuous but the views are beautiful. At the top of the hill, turn right at the benches, down a hill to an information sign and the stairs to the second tower. Take a left and head down the driveway. Sixteen paces before the yellow gate is a 2-sister birch tree. With your back to the birch, face across the driveway. Take 10 paces to a large rock whose arrow shape points forward toward Ariel who is in front of the nearest tree under a small rock.

Continue down the driveway to the road, where you will take a left. Follow until you reach the second telephone pole. At this point turn right into the woods onto the blue John McCool trail, then left on the trail towards Dynamite trail. Shortly you will come to a triple trunk birch tree with a blue blaze on it. A few steps after the next blaze, look to the right for a 4-trunk tree which holds Jasmine.

Continue on blue until you reach yellow. Take a right onto yellow to follow Dynamite trail. At a 4 way intersection, stay on yellow. At a very large log crossing the path, look left to see a 2-sister tree where Sleeping Beauty and the logbook can be found. Go over the log and left up to the yellow gate and the visitor’s center. Turn right to go up to the tower and parking lot where the loop began.
