Barry Manilow is an American singer-songwriter, musician, arranger, producer, conductor, entertainer, and performer, best known for such recordings as "Mandy", "I Write the Songs", "Weekend in New England", "Can't Smile Without You", and "Copacabana." Ironically, he did not actually write the song “I write the songs”.

Has done everything from jingles (“I am stuck on band-aid, and band-aid’s stuck on me”), to theme songs (American Bandstand), and of course so many albums of his own. In 1978, five of his albums were on the best-selling charts simultaneously, a feat equaled only by Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Johnny Mathis.

I adore Barry Manilow and I couldn’t resist making a stamp for him. To find this stamp, start at the band shell near the parking area for the Manhan Rail Trail in Easthampton This lot is on Ferry Street, just before the intersection with Pleasant St.

From the lawn where the band shell is located, look for a climbing spot. Behind this spot there are 2 pairs of benches. Go into the woods at a point almost exactly between these 2 sets of benches. The path almost immediately forks, take the right fork. Proceed about 12 steps, then look right for a tiny band shell for Barry, made from large rocks. What you are looking for can be found here.
