TOWNSEND PARK:
This hike is about 1 mile long, slight hills that were easy for my four year old, and dog friendly. However, not recommended for a stroller.

Park in the main lot with the covered pavilion and gazebo.

First Box: LOCK
-Walk toward the gazebo and take the first gravel path (before you reach the gazebo) around to the right. You will see the entrance to an unmarked trail into the woods. If you come to the entrance to the Ron Stoll trial you have gone too far. Go back and look again.
-Take this path into the woods.
-At the first intersection with another path, continue straight.
-At the second intersection with a path, turn left and head up the hill.
-You will come to a tree fort near the top of the hill.
-Inside the tree fort, in the back left corner, you will find the first letterbox.

Second Box: KEY
-Continue straight along the path in the direction you were heading until you come to a T intersection. You will see a bench.
-Turn right onto this trail (It is the main trail and called the Ron Stoll trail).
-Continue until you find a bench half under a tree that is growing sideways. (this will be quite a distance)
-Bear left at the bench to stay on the Ron Stoll trail (you will be heading down hill).
-Keep going until you come to a wooden bridge.
-Cross the bridge and then count out 26 steps.
-On your right will be three downed trees that are intertwined. At the base of the trees are two large stones. Between these stones is the second letterbox.

Third Box: HEART
-Continue along the Ron Stoll trail in the direction you were headed until it ends at a small road.
-Cross the road into the field, staying close to the stone wall on the left.
-Count out 25 steps.
-You should see a break/step in the wall (if you look down to the left of the step there is a plaque that reads “In memory of Murrysville Garden Club Members”).
-Go through the break in the wall. Ahead of you is a covered pavilion.
-Proceed up the hill toward the covered pavilion.
-About 25 yards before the pavilion, there is a tree that splits into 3 trunks.
-Look in the hollow at the base of the tree for the third letterbox.
