The Forgotten Place or Pine Grove Cemetery is the burial place for those who lived at Belchertown State School. After the school closed the cemetery fell into disrepair. Albert Werner, who resided at Belchertown School was instrumental in having this forgotten place repaired for his friends to rest and be remembered.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
To find Pine Grove Cemetery, go to Belchertown's Common where routes 181, 202 and 21 meet. Follow route 202 south, (this is also rt 21). Drive one mile and turn left onto rt 21, (Turkey Hill road). Drive 0.1 miles - the parking area is on the left across from the Pride sign.

Go around the gate and follow the road to where it circles a group of trees. To the left is the forgotten place. Go through the cemetery gates and go to the back of the cemetery. Look for a stone that reads Werner. This is where Albert Werner was finally reunited with his mother.

CLUES:

Go back to the group of trees that are circled by the road. Look for a three trunked cedar tree. Put your back to the cedar tree. Walk 15 steps back toward the parking area. Turn right and look behind the pine tree with a scar.
