This is the 1st of 2 letterboxes we placed on our trip to SouthDakota. We were anxious to find the others listed and were sucessful with one out of 2. We live in Delaware so this box is abandoned. HOpefully a letterboxer close by will find and adopt these two.
President's Pick
Where history meets art and art makes history. South Dakota President's park is the sight of this first box of the 2 part series.
You'll be greated by all 43 presidents. Abe Lincoln first. Enter the park and pay the minimal fee to tour the garden ( it really is amazing- worth the visit.) Begin your tour, follow the path in order of presidents. Whose sideburns are longest, whose tie has cheerios? Who wears glasses? Fun to let the kids guess along the way look for the "turn of the century" pass on through. Next you'll see the "Bridge over troubled waters" pass on over. You'll find what you are looking for nestled in a small clump of Birch trees growing next to "W". (HOpefully the landscaping and weather don't destroy or misplace the box before someone finds it.) Happy Hunting.
