WE HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS BOX IS STILL ALIVE AND WE DON'T LIVE IN THE AREA, SO IF YOU FIND IT, PLEASE LET US KNOW!
Terrain: Easy to moderate (small hill, may be muddy in wet weather)
Clues: Relatively easy, kid- and pet-friendly
Time: No more than 10 minutes
We placed this box with our nephew, Alex, who was almost 10 at the time we placed it. He's nuts for video games, thus the hand-carved stamp design.
Find Garfield Park in Faribault, at 3rd Avenue SW and 5th Street SW. With your back to the playground facing east, go to the far right corner of the field, past the soccer goal at the south end.
Look for the stairs. But don’t go down them! Instead, take the path to the left, past disc golf cage #8. At the par 9 sign, stay to the left and take the path down the hill.
About 15 (small) steps down the hill you will find a multi-trunked mulberry tree on the left. Walk around the tree to the gap in the trunks. You will find your treasure under leaves and branches.
Please rehide carefully, as the spot is relatively open and may be found by ne’er-do-wells.
