Find your way to the Manzanita City Park by foot, bike, or vehicle. From the parking lot, face the ocean and look for the giant web held up by sticks the color of Robin's eggs. Follow the web to find the Alder twig with the burl on it. Aligned with the web and the twig, take seven paces toward the ocean to find the opening into the bird's nest. Keep on the North branch of the path, and just after a dip in the nest, look for the bird's leg that leans to the Northwest and resembles a conifer. The egg is hidden under the bird's talon.
