Our Native Nature

These boxes are located in the Indian Hill Forest Preserve.
7061 Kishwaukee Road.
This Forest Preserve was donated to Winnebago County in 1996.
It is over 49 acres of wooded land with mature oaks and white pines.
It borders the Rock River actually, with a scenic outlook.
It has 1.75 miles of hiking trails.
Make sure to bring bug spray.

The first box:
Park in the parking lot and take the walking trail on the east side of the park.
Walk along this trail until you see a huge tree fallen over. It looks like a bridge
Spanning over a piece of land, you can’t miss it.
You will find your first box at the base of this tree.

The second box:
Keep walking along this trail, when you come to an intersection take the
Right path. Continue on through a White Pine forest until you come to another intersection. At this intersection take about 30 paces on the right path you will see two big trees your box will be at the base of the tree on the left.

The third box/bag:

If you would like, from here you can continue on this path and it will take you to a dead end with the lookout point, but if you just want to get the box go back to the last intersection and make a right to keep going on the path that you were taking.
You will walk a little while and you will come to a sharp right, if you look down and to your right you will see a bunch of dead trees in a big pile. To the left of this mess is a log. Your box/bag is behind the long, dead log. Good luck and enjoy the wonderful hike
