Park at the entrance to Ravenswood Park on Rt 127.

Starting at the entrance next to the kiosk, walk just under 1/4 mile to the intersection marked 1. Take a left at intersection 1 onto Magnolia Swamp Trail. Follow Magnolia Swamp Trail for approximately another 1/4 mile until you come to the intersection marked 4. Continue straight through the intersection and come to a boardwalk. Proceed across the boardwalk. From the end of the boardwalk, continue approximately 100 yards. You will notice a medium sized boulder on the right side of the trail. Behind the medium boulder, you will see a very small clearing and a large felled tree. On the opposite side of the trail from the small clearing, you will see two very large boulders. You will find Jack under the front right corner of the second very large boulder hidden under a smaller, flat rock.

Feel free to continue to explore Ravenswood Park for other letterboxes. The "Jack Runs Away With Dinner" series and the end of the "Grateful Letterbox: The Band" series are along the same trail. The "Ugly Duckling" letterbox is also on the Magnolia Swamp Trail.

If you are looking to exit Ravenswood Park, you can either turn around and retrace your steps or you can continue along the Magnolia Swamp Trail in the same direction across a second boardwalk and then continue on to intersection 14. At intersection 14, take a right and go across another boardwalk. Continue up a hill until you come to intersection 15. At 15, take a right onto Old Salem Road and follow it straight back (past intersections 13, 2, and 1) to the entrance.
