While visiting family in Chambersburg, we were introduced to this lovely little establishment called CR Buck's. They have ice cream, sandwiches and fries, video games, mini-golf, and their own pet deer exhibit!
While we were there admiring the deer, we counted SIX babies born this spring! Our favorite deer was "Two-two", named that by our youngest who saw the tag in the ear and called this friendly little thing by it's number.
So, we had to plant a letterbox in honor of this special place. Enjoy!
Walk to where the trail around the deer exhibit begins. There is a sign on the fence telling you not to feed the deer anything but the corn your can buy. From there, head down the trail to the left. At the bottom of the hill, turn right, crossing a small boardwalk and bridge. The trail turns again to the right, around the fence. If you look inside the fence where the deer are, you'll see a hollowed out tree. As you continue up a small hill, you'll see a two-sister tree, again, INSIDE THE FENCE. When you're at this spot, turn and face the woods. You should see a large tree 15 or so feet off the trail. The letterbox is hiding behind this tree.
Please re-hide well, and continue on around the trail to see the rest of the deer. Hope you enjoy!
