The Green Fairy Flies to Sleeping Giant

The Green Fairy is flying all across Connecticut to visit her friends.
Today she visited Sleeping Giant State Park to visit a butterfly friend. When you find the butterfly’s house, there will be a letterbox as well as some fairy dust to sprinkle! Good luck!

This hike has some good hills and gets a little rocky at times.

Park at the picnic area on Mt. Carmel Rd.
• Follow the Tower Trail
• Walk up the wooden steps on the left.
• At the top of the steps, take a left.
• Immediately, you will take an unmarked path on the left. There is a big moldy looking rock on the path.
• Keep walking up the hills. On the right you will begin to see some curly trees.
• There will be a fork in the path, a path to the left, and a rocky trail straight ahead.
• Turn to your right and look back a little, you will see a fallen tree with mushrooms and a rotted tree trunk with an opening on top.
Look in the trunk to find what the Green Fairy left!
