Situated at the north end of Navajo Lake, in southwest Colorado, Allison and Arboles are neighboring communities that were once part of a rail line that carried passengers, supplies and agricultural products into and out of the area until the 1950s. Although agriculture is still an important part of the communities, Navajo Lake, located in Navajo State Park, now shares the interest of residents and visitors alike. Boating, fishing, hiking, horseback riding and camping are popular activities in the area.

To find this box you must turn off of Colorado Rd 151 at Arboles. There will be 2 signs to watch for 1) Navajo Lake and 2) Post office. Follow this road until you see the sign pointing to Windsurf Beach and turn that direction. Pull out your camera and take a picture of the D & RG Railroad cars and the wonderful old RR water tank. The Red Eyed Tree Frog is in the shade beneath the smallest juniper tree, behind the water tank.

Please be very discreet, this is the pay station and can be a busy place. Do a good job of putting things back the way you found them (REHIDATION). Enjoy the beauty of the lake, hope you brought your swim suit. Please take out more trash than you bring in.
