STONECROFT LETTERBOX.
Placed by Ginnie Snodgrass
Difficulty: An easy hike.
ATTENTION! This is a new clue, effective September 1, 2012.
Waterbird
Go to the Marconi Site off Route 6 in South Wellfleet. Park in the lot and follow the signs for the Atlantic White Cedar Swamp Trail. Follow the trail through the swamp. When you exit the swamp, instead of going straight ahead to the Old Wireless Road and the walk back to the parking lot, turn sharp right and walk 38 steps down the sand path to a double- trunked bear oak about 11 steps off the path on the left. From this tree walk on a bearing of 140ยบ to a pile of sticks. Stonecroft lurks here. There are unlined 3x5 cards for stamping in, as the logbook is full. I will replace it when I return to South Wellfleet.
