The Green Fairy Flies to Crescent Lake

The Green Fairy is flying all across Connecticut to visit her friends.
Today she visited Crescent Lake to visit the Golden Dragonfly. When you find the Golden Dragonfly’s house, there will be a letterbox as well as some fairy dust to sprinkle! Good luck!

This hike gets a little rocky at times.
• From the parking lot, walk toward the water and onto the red/orange trail
• Cross over the wooden plank bridge
• Continue on the trail until it splits into red or orange.
• Take the red trail
• Go past many spiky dead trees
• On the right, pass 2 large Beech trees, they have smooth light grey bark and serrated leaves.
• Continue on the trail, it’ll be rocky.
• Pass a skinny Beech Tree trail marker with the red blaze.
• Stop at the second tree on the left side of the trail, it will be another Beech tree leaning toward the lake in two sections. It will have Mel and PJ carved into the bark.
• Look inside the roots facing the trail, covered with rocks and leaves.

Please email if there are any problems with the letterbox: jolenemiceli@cox.net
