Great Meadows Wildlife Refuge
If you go please drive slowly down the residential street. The park entrance is located around a corner
We placed this letterbox for our daughter's birthday, so please if anything is wrong with the box or stamp let us know so we can fix it! Enjoy!
Great Meadows has 2.7 miles of trails, including the Black Duck Creek, Timber, Edge, and Dike Trails.
There is an observation deck and telescope at the end parking lot that offers a great view of the refuge.
While searching for the letterbox enjoy the beautiful sights, sounds, and wildlife. Please leave no trace.

Park in the first parking lot. Restrooms are located up the hill.
Take 60 steps from your car back up toward the entrance.
You will see the entrance to the Egde Trail on your left.
Take the Edge Trail, first under the arching oak, then up the wooden stairs to the wide dirt trail.
Take a left onto the trail and walk past two benches.
Enter the Edge trail again on your left.
Conitnue down the hill and across a wooden footbridge.
Look for the three trunked oak and continue on.
Skip over the second footbridge and look for the two trunked oak with a hole at the bottom.
Once you have found the holey tree, take 40 steps and look for the two crossing fallen trees that are behind the rocks.
Add 7 + 8.______
Follow the fallen trees ______ steps into the woods (walking the balance beam is the most direct route).
Look around slowly, can you see it?
Look for the acorn tree with 3 rocks behind it.

Congratulations you found Moodles Birthday box!

Happy Birthday Moodle!
