This letterbox is placed at Look-Out Rock, on Quaker Street in Uxbridge. From up here, you will get a awesome view of the Blackstone Valley. The “trek” takes about 15 -20 minutes total, depending how long you enjoy the view from the rock. We hope you enjoy our first letterbox!!!

Directions to Location:
Route 16 runs through the towns of Uxbridge and Mendon. From 16 East, leaving the town of Uxbridge but before the Mendon line, take a left onto West River Road. Follow to end. At the 4-way stop, go straight across onto Upton Road. Follow to end. At fork, take a left onto Quaker Street. Parking area for Look-Out Rock will be in less than a 1/4 mile on the left.

Directions to Letterbox:
From the parking area, follow the main trail into the woods. After about 30ft, there will be a split in the trail. Take the trail to the right and continue on. Then, past a steep incline, you will come to another fork in the path. Go left. Walk about 25 paces to yet a third fork in the trail, where there will be a sign that says “Look-Out Rock” high in a tree. Take a right here, and continue walking. You will pass a few smaller, less-used trails, but stay on the main path. Follow this trail to a large group of rocks, which all make up Look-Out Rock. Climb to the top and enjoy the view. When you’re ready, it’s time to find the letterbox. At the gravel clearing, turn your back to Look-Out Rock and walk straight towards the widest trail. Just as you leave the clearing, there will be a smaller trail to the left. Follow this trail, passing the oak tree in the center (the tree has a faded blue triangle on it). Walk to the 1st intersection of trails and continue straight. The trail will begin a slight decent, and you will arrive at a second intersection where there is a distinct cluster of four trees close together. Stop here and turn left. Look upward. Do you see two trees that are intertwined? The letterbox is at the base of these trees, nestled between an old log and a random piece of metal. Congrats, you’ve just completed our “turtle trek”! Rehide neatly and then hike back the way you came.
