This box was partially destroyed, was pulled and retired and then the whole box was remade and a new, different stamp and log book was made up, this time to be named Depot Park Two. The only thing left intact in the old box was the stamp and it has been included in the new box as a memento.
In the city of Belpre get on Washington Boulevard and near the Kroger store turn north on Lee street. At the stop sign at the top of the hill turn ~ 45* right onto Pomeroy Pike. In a couple of blocks turn right onto Depot street and after the second set of tracks turn left into the far end of the Depot Park parking lot. Park your car and check out the passenger car and caboose. After relaxing for a few minutes go back to your car and then look across the street and pick out the large tree that I think is a Sycamore. Go over to this large tree and on the back side at the base of the tree you will find the letterbox. You may take the box to your car or a picnic table and take your time stamping the two (old and new) stamps and the log. When done, please replace all items and reseal the box well and then discretely return the box to its location and conceal it well with the stones and bark. Please make sure the baggies are sealed completely to protect the log book from getting waterlogged and ruined and the container is resealed as well. I hope you enjoyed the hunt and short search for this box and will drop me a line with your results.
