Juan Ponce de Leon was a Spanish explorer who led the first European expedition to Florida in 1513. Though reputed to be searching for the Fountain Of Youth, historians believe the search for gold was more likely. However, there are many natural springs in Florida that can make you feel young again by swimming in their cool waters, especially the one named after Ponce where this microbox is located.

Directions:
From I10 in Ponce de Leon, go north on Hwy 81 for 1 mile to US 90. Go right for .2 mile to Hwy 181 A and go right for .5 mile, then turn right into the park.

Clues:
Walk to the pool and cross the bridge to Spring Run loop trail. Go straight 17 steps and bear left at Spring Creek, following it for 95 steps to a bench on the right. Turn left and go 17 steps into woods to a small y-shaped tree. The microbox is hanging 4 feet high on the nearest branch. Please replace as described.
