As of August 2013, Mt. Washington Snowballs is planning on relocating, and will hopefully reopen in their new location soon. The clue will be updated at that time. Until that time, the box is not available.
Good news for you cold-weather letterboxers! The folks at Mount Washington Snowballs have added the planned line of gourmet hot chocolate and fine chocolates!
We were in North Conway, and it was hot. I mean REALLY hot. We had heard about this new place, so we stopped by. Let me say, I was glad we did.
Mount Washington Snowballs offer at least 25 flavors of Hawaiian Shaved Ice. The ones we tried (blue raspberry, cotton candy, tiger blood (fruit punch), and pineapple) really hit the spot on that hot day.
Speaking with the friendly staff, they plan on being open year-round. They plan on offering gourmet hot chocolate during the colder months. I can’t wait for that!
But, to the clue! This letterbox was placed with the permission of management.
In the heart of North Conway Village, just off Main Street, Mount Washington Snowballs is located on Reporter Court (Reporter Court is basically across Rt. 16/302 from the North Conway Public Library). Currently, the summer hours are 10AM-7PM, but call to verify at 603-356-0371. Ask your server for the letterbox, stamp in, and return the box to your server.
Please be patient during busy times.
