This creek/hike requires a special pass from the Detroit Ranger Station. Call ahead and they'll mail it to you, or stop by and hopefully there is still a pass available. It is a limited entry wilderness. A NW Forest Pass is also required to park at the trailhead.

The hike along this creek, to it's namesake lake, is about 2.5 miles and little elevation change. The trailhead is found by heading east on Hwy 22 from Detroit, for around 10 miles, and watch for P**a**m**e**l**i**a Road on the left. There is camping, fishing, and hiking in this beautiful, amazing area.

From the trailhead, walk in about 3/4 mile (15-20 minute walk) to an open door, welcoming you into the heart of the P**a**m**e**l**i**a Creek hike. From the left tree of the door frame, walk several steps at 260* to a deteriorating stump. From that stump, walk fewer steps at 100* to a Douglas Fir. You will find the box under bark, rock and moss. You need not leave the trail for these clues.

As with any box, please treat as if it were your own. Reseal bags, and rehide securely.
