I've recently found two hole plugs in need of rescuing and have decided to plant them as permanent boxes. There might be more in the future. Hopefully the owner will understand.
This first one is taking Earl's place.

From the junction of route 179 and 219 in Barkhamsted, go north 1.1 miles and pull over on the right at Legeyt Road. Round trip is 3.5 miles. No ink in box.

Cross the road very carefully, go around the gate. After a bit over half a mile you'll see some blue blazes off to the right near the stone walls. Go right on this blue and stay on blue going mostly downhill coming to a bridge built by the Loomis Chaffe School students. THANK YOU. At the far end of the bridge the trail goes left to camping but stay to the right and come to tree with a sign on it. You'll be on an old woods road walking uphill, coming to an old wooden gate on the right and going into what appears to be a cul de sac. Stay straight still uphill until you see a tree on the left with a natural "dent" (hole?) with the blue blaze painted inside of it (25 to 30 steps more will bring you to a double blazed tree where you go right up Pine Mt.). Backtrack 150 steps from the "dented" tree and find a large rock on your right (off trail) to the left of this rock is a smaller, low to the ground rock with a small overhang. Look behind the white rock blocking the box.
Cover well.
