We chose this pretty place because we have fond memories of our triplets graduating kindergarten at this library – they are now in 6th grade! Make your way to Belmar Public Library at 555 South Allison Parkway Lakewood, CO 80226. Go to the cement path that is on the left side of the building as you face the main entrance. Start down this path. The path will meet a perpendicular cement path, keep going onto the dirt path that begins right in front of you. Head towards a small bridge on your right – cross it. Take a peek at the neat statue and beautiful Kountze Lake. Continue on the path to a much longer bridge and head out over the murky water. Continue walking and you will have to choose to go left, right or straight. Choose the path straight ahead. Keep walking and make sure to “Remember Jack and Jo”. Cross the bridge without your “Motorized Vehicle”. There will be a bench on your right - take a rest – you will notice a narrower dirt path in front of you – walk down that path, enjoy the view and you will reconnect with the main gravel path. Keep going on the gravel path. Take the next right, past a bench for “Mattie Grace and Kenny Beach”. It is a dirt path that heads up into the trees. Cross the horse path and head toward the large pond. Swing to the right along the water. Continue walking. If you come to a tall metal pole, you are on the right track. Continue on the path to a fork in the path – go 21 steps on the path to the left. It runs closest to the water. You will see a still-standing, dead, double-trunk tree on your right (about 10 steps off the path). Go to that tree and you will find KINDERGARTEN MEMORIES behind the base of the tree. Please make sure to hide the box well with sticks, grass, pinecones, etc. Thanks and hope you enjoyed finding our box! FAM OF 7
