This letterbox is planted close to my newest letterboxing companion, my great-grandson Tyler. He's a very good and enthusiastic box finder.

Cresent Lake in Southington is home to lots of boxes. This one is on the green trail and is a mile and a half loop. From Woodruff Ave. in Plainville follow Ledge Road about a mile and a half to the parking lot on the left.

Look for the green trail at the end of the parking area (behind the convenient porta potty) walk around the chain and go straight. You'll be going slightly uphill and at the T go right (follow green blazes)still uphill, turn right again and at the next intersection go left. Walk through an opening in a stone wall and at the next intersection turn left, still following green. Turn left at the next intersection and you might start seeing some red paint with the green blazes. As you walk along watch for a short metal red post (boundary marker) on the left and then a very large boulder on the left with a sitting rock on the right. Not far after this is a second red post and just before this is a group of four rocks. Look between the back two rocks for Ty's Frogs.

The larger rock will make a good place to sit and stamp and to look casual to the many people walking their dogs :-)

You can retrace your steps or continue on green. Both ways will lead you back to your car.
Happy hunting, Ty.
