From the Hunnewell Visitor Center:
Follow Meadow Road until the intersection of Bussey Hill and Valley Roads.
Continue for a short while on Valley Road until you reach the oval marker for Oak Path on the left.
Continue 20 paces on the road. On your left will be a huge black walnut tree struck by lightning in 1999.
Facing this tree look right. You will see a grove of six black walnut trees; five of these were started from seed in 1874.
Go to the grove of trees and find the one with the accession number 1181-E (it is the furthest tree).
The letterbox is hidden at the base of this tree out of view from the road.
