This box is going to take a little hiking to get to. Wear a hat, there is no shade on this trail. Lots of hills, uneven ground, no shade, it's GREAT! :)

The Willow Creek Nature Center is on Hwy 9 between Sibley and Ocheyedan, you wont actually enter either of those towns but you will find it on Hwy 9. WATCH for the signs or you might miss it. It's an Adventure!

Drive up to the Nature Center and follow the road behind the buildings until you come to a small parking area, you will see the Nature Center Trail sign from there.

Starting at the sign go Right until you come to a T, take the Left path to the foot bridge over the creek. Cross the plywood bridge and hike up that hill and around until you come to another T, take the path to the Left until you come to yet another T, go to your Right 34 paces until you are in front of the little wooden post in the middle of the metal stakes.

The buffalo is hidden at the base of the little post.

I hope you are able to enjoy the Nature Center while you are there, they have some very cool animals inside, including a buffalo.
