Difficulty: Easy
Distance to Letterbox: About 2 miles total

The "Golden Ear" letterbox is located in Golden Ears Prov. Park, which is northeast of Vancouver, BC. The park has plenty to offer, swimming, boating, hiking, camping, and much more. This hike to the waterfall along the creek is worth the effort, event without the letterbox:

Directions:
From Hwy 7, going east from Hwy 7A, take the Dewdney Truck route east. Turn left on 232 Street and follow signs to park. Enter park and go to far end, parking on left just before last campground.

To the Letterbox:
Walk back to road you entered, and back toward the bridge over the stream. Go right at trail sign, and follow the stream on this trail all the way to Lower Falls. Once at the falls overlook, go to the bench. From bench, count as you go up the hill on other trail 12 steps. Stop. Go left and up the hill, keeping the line of trees closest to the falls on your left, and go to fallen log which is just behind a small tree, with an even smaller tree behind it. The box is between these 2 smaller trees, under a rock pile.
Return the way you came.
