Welcome to quaint downtown North Attleboro. You'll find some interesting eating establishments and quirky stores. This is a series designed to loop you around and collect some stamps for a nice afternoon excursion. It won't take long, maybe 45 minutes of walking and stamping. Park anywhere on the street, but the small town parking lot on Church street is the most convienent off-street spot closest to your first box. This is great when you want to letterbox in the snow! All the "boxes" are actually Pokemon card tins, hence the name. Enjoy!!!

Box #1 - In Memory of Plaster Plus -
Plaster Plus, the children's arts and craft store, is now out of business. It was a great place to spend an afternoon with your kids painting or playing. It is my first and only (so far) hand carved stamp. Find Church Street in North attleboro center and walk south along the storefronts of Route 1A. Soon you will come across The Preservation Framer. Here you can ask Rob or Matt, the proprietors for the box as they have so graciously are holding the box for me. They are friends with the former Plaster Plus owner and will help out a friend in need!

Box #2 The Children's Section
Head back north, passing Church Street, along the same side of the street as the framers to the Richards Memorial Public Library. Go straight to the back of the library to find the children's section of books. Look up J745.5 T918 and locate the book. As you are turning to page 13 for "Rubber Stamping", notice the heating device behind you. Use your stealth and reach under the unit for "The Children's Section". The librarians are unaware, so please be as careful as possible not to attract attention. Perhaps go to the tables by the fireplace near where you came in to stamp.

Box #3 Tea and Chocolate - UNAVAILABLE - Tea shop now closed. Box relocated. See "Tea and Chocolate" in Walpole, MA

Perhaps it is now time to get some caffeine (not because this is a long trek, but because we can!). From the library, cross the street and head back south. Go past the framers on your right. Find our local tea shop whose name you can spell out from this puzzle. The box is located on the floor on the right side of the shoppe. Please do not rummage too much as there are many delicate items in the store. The owner is aware and very willing to help you identify it. Hours are Tues-Sunday, 8am-4pm, closed Mondays.

The Puzzle:
Seventeeth of the Fifth
Nineth of the sixth
Fifteenth of the seventh
Sixth of the nineth
Fifth of the tenth
Nineth of the tenth
First of the eleventh

“Oh, you may not think I’m pretty,
But don’t judge on what you see,
I’ll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I’m the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There’s nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can’t see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.

-Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, J.K. Rowling

Box #4 - Sweet Works- MISSING!!!
THE OWNER NOTICED IT GONE A COUPLE DAYS AGO. THANKS FOR TRYING.

Hopefully you didn't eat too much chocolate because it is now time for some ice cream! or hot cocoa if the weather is appropriate. Continue south and past the local post office. Right on the corner is Sweet Works, a totally yummy ice cream shop. You don't have to go in if you want to avoid the temptation. Standing in front of the storefront, notice the righthand corner where brick meets stone. Do you see where the brick started to crumble and they patched it up with some concrete blocks? At the top most concrete block, there is still some loose mortar and bricks. Pull those out and find the last stamp. Since it is outdoors and very visable, use your letterboxing prowess.

Cross the street and head back up northward to your car. Good Luck!!!
