This series is located across the street from the Stillwater Scenic Trail. The series will be removed on November 1, 2010. The "trail" is a wide path that goes straight for about 150 yards then turns sharply to the right. All boxes are located before the turn.
This was originally going to be a night series with reflectors on each box, but after planting it we were concerned about safety as the trail has gullies, and slopes down on the right hand side.
Directions: Take Route 295 South to exit 8B Route 7. Follow Route 7 to the second traffic light and turn left on Route 116. Follow Route 116 until you come to the intersection with Route 104. turn right on Route 104 and almost immediately on the left there is a parking area.
Clues:
Go around the gate and proceed down the trail. Keep a sharp eye out for a three sister tree on the right which is about twenty feet off the trail. The mummy awaits you there.
Continue down the trail. On the right you will soon see a dead log leaning in the crotch of another tree. About 12 steps before this, there are small saplings with something that could scare you at its feet.
As you continue down the trail look on the left for a log beside the trail. In front of this log there is a pile of gravel on the trail. A witch lost her hat here.
Once again on the left keep looking for a pair of slanted rocks. These rocks may be haunted.
Frank is hiding a bit further down the trail on the right in the hollow of a tree.
Shortly after that on the right look for a cave at the base of a tree. Spiders have been spotted here.
Almost at the end of the trail there is a log resting in peace.
Now return and start back to your car. As you approach the gate and barrier look carefully around this area for the ghost and the log book. Hint-it is not on the ground.
