This is an easy walk to a very scenic spot -- perfect for kids! Visit beautiful Camp Denison, a town-owned conservation area, off Nelson Road in Georgetown, Massachusetts. Drive down Camp Denison's long gravel entrance way and park in the main visitor parking area. Walk down the road toward the main lodge (2 minutes).

When the main lodge is directly in front of you, look for a trail into the woods to the right (there are a couple there -- be sure to take the path right next to the barn-like structure). Follow that path into the woods and across a wooden bridge over a small stream (2 minutes).

After the bridge, the path turns left and soon splits, going uphill or straight. Take either route: They both arrive at a large, pretty clearing with pine trees all around, and a huge fallen log at one end of the clearing, near the water (3 minutes).

While standing in the clearing facing Baldpate Pond, look to your left to a grove of beech trees, close to the water. You'll see a fairy house (a little structure made of sticks) against the base of a very tall pine tree. Look inside the fairy house ... and find the letterbox.

After you're done letterboxing, you can continue your walk by going through the cut in the large fallen log and following the path a very short distance to a pretty, rocky spot right on the pond. Return the way you came.

Enjoy!
