Castle Mound
(and the best short hike in Wisconsin)
Begin at the Castle Mound Nature Trail in Black River Falls. A quarter of a mile after the trail leaves the parking lot a side trail leading to an over look will split off to the left. From the sign for the over look trail continue to the right for sixty steps to a huge rock on the right side of the trail. From the western most tip of the huge rock take fifteen steps at 10° to another rock.
And for the best short hike in Wisconsin double back and take the over look trail to the observation platform.
