I am so excited. I have had another birthday. If I were a human, I could start school now as I am five!! Ooops, that is just me getting distracted again. I seem to do that quite easily, always have.;-)

Anyway, this year Mom is carving images to show things us pups really like to do. Well, I like to talk and talk and talk... Not to be confused with barking either. I talk first thing in the morning to my "big sister", I talk to Dad when he gets home from work, I talk to Grandma when she opens her door in the morning and gives me a treat. I talk to the chipmunks in the driveway...You see, I really love to talk.

So, to see an image of me with my mouth open getting ready to talk, just follow the directions below.

Make your way to East Howey Road off of Zaicek Road in Ashford. The pavement quickly ends. After this you will see a Joshua Trust sign telling you where to park.

After parking, head down the gravel/grass road at the corner. You will see faint yellow blazes. Follow this a ways until you see a sign for the Fern Glade Trail to the left. Go left here with the blazes, passing through an opening in the stone wall.
It is actually well marked in here, but the blazes are fading and the yellow is tough to see-so pay attention and please respect the private property around you.
Continue on until you come to a Y. This is just beyond the Maiden Fern Garden sign.
Doodles looked longingly to the right, so that is the way we went.
We soon came to Knowlton Brook where the pups stopped to get a drink.
You will walk along the brook for a short time and then turn to the left away from it.
After turning away, you will soon come to a spot where the trail makes a left with a large, mossy rock on the right side of the trail.
Stop at this rock. Look behind it where a tree is touching it and under a few small rocks you will find Doodles box.
Black ink would be fine for this stamp.
After re-hiding it well, continue the way you were traveling. You will end up at the same Y where you took a right towards the brook. Bear right here and retrace your steps back to your vehicle.

We hope you enjoy this preserve and your adventure.
