This letterbox is currently offline. I hope to get it back up and running in the next two weeks.
Stay tuned!

It’s Band Time in Chatham

There is a park in Chatham that hosts a weekly band concert in the summer months.
Many visitors and residents have enjoyed these concerts over the past 55 years.
This letterbox pays homage to a great Chatham tradition.

Find Kate Gould Park in Chatham, MA and stand at the Main Street entrance between the light posts. Take 78 paces to the rock commemorating the park. You can stop on the way and take a rest at Wendy’s Place). After reading the rock, run down the slope and face the bandstand. Do the bunny hop around the bandstand clockwise and stand at “twelve o’clock”. Step out of the bandstand circle and face the retaining wall made of railroad timbers. Walk to the wall, face east and take 10paces along the wall.
Hidden in the ivy where the white picket fence starts is the prize you’ve been seeking!
If you can’t guess what the stamp is, look at the top of the bandstand.

Come back and enjoy the band some Friday night in the summer!
