When entering Big Hill Pond State Park there is a big rock on the left-hand side of the road; this is the Rocky Knob Trail. After finding a place to park (in a parking lot) the fastest way to get there is by hiking up the road. After you reach the rock you will follow the trail until you see a sign with a white hiker and another tree just a few feet away with a green hiker. On your left you will see a hill crowned with rocks. Climb up and find a big oak tree then turn to face the trail you just came from. The box is under a rock to your right (NW) covered in leaves. Check for snakes and spiders before reaching in the hole.
You can also start at the trail head at the camp grounds, but if you do make sure you have a park map and you pay close attention to the white hiker signs since the trail is not used what much.
