Take N. Rancho/US 95N to Kyle Canyon Rd/SR 157. Turn left on to Kyle Canyon Rd and proceed approximately 18 miles. Turn right at Deer Creek Rd/SR 158 go about 6 miles to Deer Creek. Parking lot is on the right. Cross the road to Deer Creek, follow the paved trail to the back gate. Turn left, heading east, up the dirt road. Approximately 180 yards on the left is a rock ledge with a large pine tree near the road and a smaller pine tree growing in the middle of the rock ledge. Below it, about 12 feet, is a rock with a stump (at 280 degrees West). Below the stump and behind a white rock is what you seek. If you are having trouble look west, across Deer Creek Canyon and you will see two giant dead trees on the opposite hillface. You are in the right spot. It is overlooking the area between campsites 4 and 5.
