This letterbox is at Lafayette College. To get directions and (if you want) a campus map go to www.lafayette.edu. The clues begin at Markle Hall (Admissions) and there is a parking lot directly behind this building.

Begin at Markle Hall (Admissions). Turn your back to the building and face the path across the street. What side of the path has no street lamps? Do not cross the street to the path. Instead, take the direction from the clue and head in that route from Markle Hall.

You should pass the Engineering building on your right.... Proceed straight ahead.

Once to reach Watson Hall, you will see a weathervane on top of the clock tower. Find the Southeast direction, according to the weathervane and follow the path in that direction to the road.

Go left on the road and follow to the stop sign.

Cross the street to the path on the right of Scott Hall. Follow the path that is headed to the “double” tree. Pass the double tree and, when the path splits, take the “right” path to the building on your right.

Look up at the statues of the two people between the eagle. The statue on the right is looking towards the next building you should head to.

Go to the front of that building. Then, follow the path (sidewalk) on your right around the building to the back. Keefe Hall will be behind you. Take the path to the right of Keefe, between the two buildings toward the statue.

Go down the steps to the Civil War statue. Think about those “who died for the Union.”

Find John H. Buckley and look for his class year. The last number in the year is the number of lengths of the path you will take in the next clue.

Take __ lengths of the path from the statue.

You will see a lightpost behind a railing; take the “path less travelled.”

Follow this path until you see a massive fallen tree to your left (if you pass a white pipe on your left, you went too far) and take about 2-3 steps and then look to your right.

There will be a tree bent at the stump up the hill a yard or two. Look in the base of the tree for the letterbox!

Make sure to hide the letterbox as well (or better) than you found it!!!

TO GET BACK: Back track to the original path and go back towards the statue to the road. Follow paths back to Markle Hall.
