If coming from eagle creek trail head, 1st creek after wilderness permit station; if coming from tunnel falls, 1st creek after benson trail cutoff jct.
Take side path on south (right) side of creek, go east (upstream).
If carrying large packs, best to leave at trail entrance.
Cross over large log and continue on small but distinct trail.
Comment about monkey trail!
Arrive at falls with alcove.
Enter alcove from right
Go to spot directly behind the fall.
Visually Line up fall and Main stream leaving pool
Directly behind you, 2 feet off ground, find the box (purple lid) under rocks.
Please return to exact same spot, fully covered.
