Start at the intersection of Belle Terre Parkway and Rt. 100.
Turn towards the direction of the Atlantic Ocean or the rising morning sun.
Travel 4.1 miles on Rt. 100 (East) passing the base of the high flying machines on your right and further on, the pink home of the angels of Mercy on your left.
At Colbert Lane, turn left and proceed 3.1 miles. You will know you are headed in the correct direction when you pass Graham Swamp on your left.
After passing the new Palm Coast Plantation turn right at the unmarked street, but indicated by the Herschel King Park sign opposite the turn.
Venture on to the park entrance, enjoying the huge water fountains on your right just outside the park.
Park anywhere in the parking lot to your left.
Follow the concrete sidewalk to the immediate right of the boat launch for the intercostal waterway.
Stay on the walkway threading between the pavilion and restroom buildings to where a crushed seashell path turns off to the right, just before you come to the boardwalk out to the intercoastal.
Take that path, veer to the left, continue until you see a paved road to your left.
Continue on the shell path going past the homes outside the park. When the last house is behind you there will be two medium sized oak trees, one on each side of the path. Just ahead the path turns to the left - between this turn and the next, which goes to the right the box is hidden. Look to your left, there a large oak tree that leans northward, the box is behind that tree, the box is covered by a dead palm branch.
To play it safe, in case some of Florida's wildlife has decided to keep the box company, carefully pick up the branch by the stem end.
While you are in the park you may want to: 1.check out the gazebo out on the intercoastal which you can reach by following the boardwalk 2. take the trail at the far end of the parking area. There are some great viistas of the waterway.
