These dinosaur friends were carved by dinosaur lover: 11 yr. old Master Dude.

They are along Hwy 40 / Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway. This National Scenic Byway runs through some of the best dinosaur country in the world! Paleontologists have been coming here for over a hundred years to look for dinosaurs and are still making new discoveries.

DIRECTIONS: Heading east from Roosevelt, toward Vernal, watch on the right side of the road for a big dirt pull-out, just before mm 134
(which is at a paved road), and park here. In the pull-out is a “Caution Truck Crossing” sign.

Very short walk for both boxes

DINO CLUES:
In the pull-out, go back to the left (west), following the dirt road. There will be a gully on the left, and then a small hill on the road side will block your view of the gully. Go on to the other end of this hill, and there will be a social trail between this hill and some boulders, leading to toward the gully. Go behind the first boulder on the right side of this trail to say hi to Dino, in his small pouch.
Please be discreet, zip all bags, and rehide well – tucking him back in out of sight and replacing the rocks.

SPIKE CLUES:
From Dino’s spot, look to the left, at the rocky side of the hill, and see the many holes in the rock. On this rock side of the hill, go back to the other end, and find a loose rock in a hole at the end, near the top, to see Spike in his small pouch. Please be discreet, zip all bags, and rehide well – tucking him back in out of sight, and replacing the rock.
