The Acorn Treasure
Find the county that has a color in its name and is east of Bloomington. Go to its state park.
If you are coming from Bloomington, use the west entrance.
If you are coming from Columbus, use the north entrance.
Once you are in the park, find the trail that equals 20 - 15 or 2 + 3. Enter the trailhead walking east past brambles and a large grapevine. Walk the steps. Walk the trail. Enjoy the very clean, peaceful wildlife trail on the hillside. Pass the large “tip up” on the right. A tip up is a big root ball that has come up from the ground because the tree has fallen. Walk to the next set of stairs which is the 2nd set of stairs on this trail. You'll pass a yellowwood tree at the top of the stairs. Go down the stairs. At the bottom of the steps, turn around, go back up three steps, and look under the 5th step from the bottom. This is where you’ll find the “Acorn Treasure”.
