Remy is Fore! can be found at Harkness State Park, Waterford, Connecticut. It's an easy, quick, kid friendly hike to find this box; it was placed by our four year-old son/golf enthusiast!

To get to Harkness State Park:
From Rt. 2: Rte. 2 east Take exit 20 in Colchester for Rte. 85 south to New London. In New London, take a right onto Rte. 1 (Boston Post Rd.) and then a left onto Ocean Ave., a right onto Niles Hill Rd., and a left onto Dimmock Rd.

From 95 S: Get off @ exit 81. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto access road and turn left at the stoplight onto Cross Road. Continue to the intersection with Rte.1. Turn left onto Rte. 1 and continue to the traffic light at Avery Lane (Rte. 213). Turn right onto Avery Lane and follow to the park, about 3.5 miles. Avery Lane will become Great Neck Rd. The park will be on your right.

From 95 N: Get off at exit 75. Bear right at the end of the exit; you will be on Rte.1. Go four miles to the light at Avery Lane (Rt. 213), turn right and follow to the park. Avery Lane will become Great Neck Rd. The park will be on your right.

Harkness does charge a fee in the summer months.

NOTE: This park is popular and often crowded, so please try to be discreet and rehide the boxes thoroughly--thanks!

Park in the first parking lot on your left. This is the clubhouse...

Head on to the oval shaped, tree-lined, paved path, away from the water and away from the mansion, golf bag strapped to your shoulder.

As you approach 12 o'clock on this giant clock, just past a bench on your left, find another paved path, lined with trees on both sides and a stone wall on your right. You are now on the tee of this par-5 hole... pull out a 3-iron. Stop to look at the yellow farm house on your left before continuing on. Here comes the dog-leg right!

At the end of this path, turn right and pull out the 3-wood! You'll need to hit the ball long and straight to get it to the end of this fairway. Walk along the tree-lined path and notice the horses off in the distance to the left. Don't go out of bounds! As you get near the end of the path, pull out your pitching wedge because you're almost on the green!

A short chip later, at the end of the path, it's time to pull out the putter. Look to the right side of the path, in between the last two trees (one is brand new and the other has been there a long time!). About half way in between the two, nestled in the base of the stone wall, you'll find the letterbox. It's in the hole! (of the wall that is), and it's worth a birdie (you can probably hear them chirping!)...

Congratulations! Now, onto the 19th hole. You earned it!

Be sure to check out our other two Harkness boxes - Baseball Boy and Ladybug Lane...
