An easy drive-by box with a hand carved stamp. Stamp quality will improve with practice.
From I-19 take Aravaca road exit east toward Amado Territory. Turn south and look for Amado rd. on your left. If you look close you will see a Rex Ranch sign. Turn east and follow the road across the Santa Cruz River (no problem except during the Monsoons)past 2 entrances to Rex Ranch. Stay on the hard road past the first double pole high-line to the end of the blacktop. Travel 4 tenths of a mile on the dirt road to a relatively clear area on your right. You should be looking straight toward a pair of poles of the second high-line. To the south you will see an electric sub-station on the opposite side of the ravine. You will see Mutt and Jeff (1 tall & 1 short rock) at the edge of the ravine, about 23 steps from the side of he road. The box is behind Mutt...........or is that Jeff? If you continue up hill you wil come to the Observatory road. The box was uncovered but in good condition when found by blacksheep 1-2's granddaughter. Re-hid on 10/13/2012
A new box was placed on 1/28/2018. The original was destroyed by weather and age. Let us know the condition.
