(Drive By - ONLY Available 8am to 5 pm - 7 days a week) This box was planted on my 2011 visit to Tucson for the 7th annual event. Being the event was moved to the spring time, I kind of expected the desert to be in full bloom with wild flowers. I did see some color along the highways, but not much out in the desert, just here and there. So, I decided to leave behind a wild flower of my own. There is one place where you can visit in Tucson, for the whole nature, art and cultural experience; and that is Tohono Chul Park. Located just west of the intersection of Oracle and Ina roads, the gates are open daily 8am to 5pm. Although I recommend the Park, this box can be accessed without the $7 admission to go inside.

As you enter through the entrance there will be a sign sending buses to the right and cars to the left. Look immediately to your left and you will see a light pole there, at the south end of the parking lot. Drive ahead and double back to this light pole. You will find this wild flower under a rocks at right of light pole base. Please be discreet and respect the property. Thank you.
