HISTORY:

The Veselka family traveled far from their homeland of Norway to live in the great lands of Texas. Joseph and Sophie had found true love and as they settled in this new land, they hoped that their daughter Christina Sofia would find true love as well. The Texas weather was wonderful and they enjoyed many summers swimming in the bosque river nearby in Waco. It was on one such day that their beautiful daughter was on an outing with friends to a local swimming spot on the Brazos. As most young people do, there was a lot of chatter and flirting going on. There they met a group of young men. One of the young men stood out exceptionally well to Christina, her eyes were immediately drawn to him as if pulled by some force beyond her control. As she and her friends continued talking, the young man approached her and extended his hand to her. As if she could read his thoughts, she took his hand wordlessly and they began to walk along the banks of the river. They were soon out of sight of the others and they disappeared as if in a mist. Her final walk was into the arms of a Vampyre.

Many believe she had drowned and is remembered by her friends and family for her beauty and her sweet Norwegian lilt. She is known as the Norwegian lass!

After many years of traveling the world, she returned to her family's home to find that she now had a sister who was just as beautiful and had just reached her 20th year. As she watched her family's home, she could smell the stench of death nearby and she saw that her sister was gravely ill. While the family slept, she approached her sister and cured her illness with eternal life. Her name is Sofie Ann. Now there are two Norwegian Lasses.

TO THE BOX:

As you enter the first gate behind the monument shop you will drive until you reach the curve in the road. Stop here and park. On the right hand side of the road you will find the Keton Monument (The Sacred Heart of Jesus). Looking at the monument (12 o'clock) look to your left and you will see Christina's picture. Proceed to Christina's grave. This is our Vampiress and so you must pay your respects and leave a small offering for her protection on your quest. From Christina's marker (12 o'clock) at 10 o'clock begin walking and cross the road, under a tree you will find her sister Sofie Ann. This is our second Vampiress and so you must pay your respects and leave a small offering for her protection on your quest. Continue walking in the 10 o'clock direction and you will find our Vampiress' parents Joe and Sophie. At the parents marker (12 o'clock) at 8 o'clock you will see an Angel with a broken hand, proceed to her. Look to the left of the Angel at 11 o'clock you will see the largest tree on the fenceline.
