Are joining the ‘Pet Parade’!
Heading south on Route 7 turn right at the yellow blinking light. (The Torrington Savings Bank will be on your left.) Go past the Kellogg School (on your left) and bear left going into the center of Falls Village. Go to the end of Main Street...that will not take long! Go right and then take an immediate left under the old train trestle. Once you have passed under the trestle take an immediate right. You will go down a small hill toward the Falls Village Power Plant. Park in the parking area on the right, just before the Power Plant.
This is a ¾ mile walk about “People Shaping the Landscape”. This can be a busy place so please be discreet. Take the path toward the woods. Follow the trail past the sign-in logbook and over the bridge. At the top of the hill, walk to the fourth bench past the pair of benches at right angles. The trail will divide here. Go right for a longer walk and enjoy the scenery. Turn left for the shorter walk on the Nature Trail. When the two trails meet again, head toward the parking area. When you see “Oval & The Fairgrounds” take 23 giant steps. Look to your right for a very large three sister tree. What you are looking for is behind it. Please rehide well in the same location.
